Together we are powerful!
Get involved in a marathon, a parachute jump or any sponsored event and stand up as an individual for other individuals at risk around the world. For example, you could choose to do a parachute jump to highlight the case of Ferhat Gerçek, who was shot by police days before his 18th birthday and may never receive justice due to flaws in the trial.

The London Triathlon attracts over 13,000 people each year to swim, bike and run in the world's largest triathlon.
Beginners and professional triathletes come from all over the world to compete in distances to suit all abilities at this spectacular event at London's Royal Victoria Dock.
For those wanting to share the load, there are relay race options so you can sign up with some mates or colleagues. More about the 2013 London Triathlon
Setting yourself a challenge is a great way to raise funds for Amnesty. We're constantly impressed by the creativity and dedication of people who choose to do their own thing.
If you want to get fit, try something sporty like a running event. The standard distances are: 5k (approx. 30 mins), 10k (1 hour), half marathon (2 hours) and marathon (4 hours). If you don't fancy any of the runs we promote, search more running events.
Alternatively, why not complete a cycle ride such as Land's End to John o' Groats, as members of the Amnesty Leeds Group did; or a long distance walk such as the Offa's Dyke Path?
You could also get sponsored to achieve a personal goal such as quitting smoking or losing weight, or for a quirky challenge such as trying to get famous. You could even relate your challenge to an Amnesty International campaign; for instance, by doing a sponsored cage sit. Just use your imagination!
Once you have decided on, and registered for, your chosen sponsored event:
Amnesty International UK has teamed up with justgiving.com so that all our runners and events participants can raise money quickly and easily online with their own personalised webpage.
Friends and family will be able to donate online with a credit or debit card - so no more running around with paper sponsorship forms or chasing cheques and cash after your event.
There are three types of jump available - whether you want to jump from 10,000 feet harnessed to a professional instructor, or would prefer a 2,000 or 3,000 feet solo jump. You can go from 28 locations around Britain most weekends - but book in advance.
The jump is open to anyone over the age of 16, but if you are aged between 16 and 18 you must obtain parental consent to take part.
