Photojournalist Guy Smallman has made numerous visits to Afghanistan in recent years. Working unembedded he has documented the effects of war and instability on the lives of ordinary Afghan people. His work has appeared in many different publications. He is the only western journalist to have visited the scene of the Granai massacre in Farah province.
