UK-BASED COMPANY DEVASTATING COMMUNITIES IN INDIA

Villagers in Orissa, India, are living in the shadow of a massive refinery operated by UK-based company Vedanta. Locals were given scant and misleading information about the potential impact of the development. Today they breathe polluted air and are afraid to drink from or bathe in their local river. Now Vedanta is proposing a new mine which could destroy the entire way of life of the nearby Dongria Kondh community.
