The Student Action Network committee, also known as the STAN Committee, consists of ten students who are elected (by you!) to lead campaigns, represent student groups in Amnesty UK and to support them in their campaigning. The STAN committee also organise our priority student campaigns, events such as the Student Conference and work together with teams across Amnesty UK to make sure that students are represented in all areas of our work. |
Current Campaigns
Let’s Talk About Yes
The #LetsTalkAboutYes campaign seeks to engage activists, creatives and young people of all genders and backgrounds to talk about sexual consent, and contribute to a ‘consent culture’
Stop Killer Robots
Over the last two years, Amnesty students across the UK have campaigned hard to ensure their universities are not contributing to the development of lethal autonomous weapons, or ‘killer robots’.
I Am Who I Say I Am
Support the right to self-identify! Students across the country participate in the ‘I Am Who I Say I Am’ campaign to make sure that their campuses and beyond are gender-inclusive spaces and support the LGBTQ+ community.
