Tweet to help Amnesty win $100k for human rights!
Get tweeting!
Having just become a Twitter / tweeter, I am fresh with the enthusiasm of a recent convert to this abbreviated social networking platform. If you're not yet tweeting, here's one good reason to get onsite now.
Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman (star of X-Men) is offering to donate $100,000 to a non-profit organisation – he wants tweeted (messaged via Twitter) to be persuaded which one to pick.
I can think of 100 reasons why this should be Amnesty. If you can think of just one, tell Hugh with as much passion as possible, and Amnesty could be in with a chance of the donation. Just think what we could do with that extra money…
Even if Amnesty doesn't secure the cash, as I'm finding, Twitter is still a great way to spread the word about Amnesty and our campaigns
Okay, that's enough from me. I'm off to tweet Hugh.
You can find me (and follow me) on Twitter here.
Our blogs are written by Amnesty International staff, volunteers and other interested individuals, to encourage debate around human rights issues. They do not necessarily represent the views of Amnesty International.
