Mexico - seven days in hell, Channel Four tonight

Unreported World on Channel Four tonight at 7:35 pm takes us to Mexico where killings related to drugs are rife.  The Guardian on 22 December reported on the killing of eight soldiers whose bodies were found decapitated; the military is at the forefront of the fight against drug traficking in Mexico. 

Last week's Unreported World programme was on the plight of people trying to escape from war in Somalia or from drought and famine in Ethiopia.  If they survived the terrible jouney they landed in Yemen to face a life not much better than the one they had left behind, trying to earn enough to survive by cleaning cars or by foraging on rubbish tips. The United Nations were there but they were not able to do enough to help.
