Moves towards outlawing extraordinary rendition

An all-party group of MPs has recommended criminalising the use of facilities in the UK for extraordinary rendition flights.  This would also affect territories of the UK such as Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.

An Italian court has found Americans guilty of kidnapping in the first trial anywhere in the world involving the CIA's extraordinary rendition programme.

I wrote in June 2009 about an admission by Foreign Secretary David Miliband that Diego Garcia had been used by rendition flights.
