Unreported World
Unreported World is back with a new series of reports starting this evening, 2 Nov. 2012 on Channel 4 at 7:30 pm. Here is a preview clip for Talk Show Nation, with Krishnan Guru-Murthy meeting talk radio hosts in the USA as the presidential election approaches. They say that journalistic neutrality is a form of bias and censorship.
The BBC has a better claim to neutrality but sometimes needs to be criticised for bias. For instance there has been plenty of coverage for the storm hitting the eastern coast of the USA but not much about the damage the same storm has caused elsewhere. In the last few days I have not heard anything about the islands of the Caribbean but this morning on Breakfast on BBC1 there was mention of the plight of Haiti and an interview with a spokesperson for Oxfam there.
Our blogs are written by Amnesty International staff, volunteers and other interested individuals, to encourage debate around human rights issues. They do not necessarily represent the views of Amnesty International.
