AIUK Children's HR Network Committee
As several members of the CHRN Committee find difficulty getting to meetings, especially those some distance from London, I thought it would be helpful if we used the blog system to input ideas and make comments. It allows other members of the Network to make comments to us that we can take account of – we're always interested in new ideas.
Our next meeting is at the HRAC on Friday 10th July at 5pm. Our main item on the agenda will be ideas for an event at the HRAC around International Children's Day (November 20th) – probably on the evening of the 18th. Ideas welcome. We'll also be talking about the Children's Rights Conference the Danish Section is arranging for 20-22nd November in Copenhagen and my discussion with Paulo Pinheiro, the former UN Special Expert on Children and Violence on 25th June.
It will be the final chance for any further thoughts to brief the AIUK delegates to the ICM on re the Spanish resolution on prioritising children's rights, in the light of our own resolution to the Swansea AGM.
Our blogs are written by Amnesty International staff, volunteers and other interested individuals, to encourage debate around human rights issues. They do not necessarily represent the views of Amnesty International.
