Announcing the Amnesty Community Platform Project

We know that some of our content and information is hard to find and can feel outdated, and we know that it is hard to see into our vibrant, grassroots community. We want to make it easier for people to connect and work together towards our common goals.
We need better ways to build a powerful movement together.
The Community Platform Project project is going to help us get there. Over the next months, we will be asking for your engagement. We want to ensure that what we do truly helps you, individual community members, organise and campaign together with Amnesty International UK.
We’re not alone! Amnesty International UK is working with We Are Open Co-op and Torchbox, two worker-owned organisations that specialise in digital transformation and community building. We’re working to replace old systems and build a new website, a knowledge hub and this community platform. We are working to make sure that these three projects inform one another and connect together.
We want to share openly, via this blog, about how it’s going, and are always happy for YOUR feedback. Please leave comments on our posts and let us know what your thoughts are.
Initial ways to get involved:
- Check out our Project Charter
- Fill in our initial survey
- Keep an eye on this blog!
Our blogs are written by Amnesty International staff, volunteers and other interested individuals, to encourage debate around human rights issues. They do not necessarily represent the views of Amnesty International.
