The 22nd Anniversary Remembrance of the 1989 Beijing Massacre
1) 2 pm Saturday, June 4 – FLASH MOB MEMORIAL
Location: Trafalgar Square, Central London, WC2
A short, silent memorial will be held in Trafalgar Square toremember the victims of the Tiananmen Square massacre. Meet at the top of steps leading into the square, in frontof the National Gallery. The memorial will be held for 2 minutes, starting as Big Benstrikes 2pm. Please arrive for 1.45pm. Participants will be asked to hold upthe names of victims and stand in silence for 2 minutes, in the squarefacing the National Gallery. (This is what the press release will say. You can hold your own placard if you like.)
2) 3 pm Saturday, June 4- STALL & SPEECHES: Following the memorial therewill be speeches in Chinatown at 3pm, and a stall handing out informationregarding the Tiananamen Square massacre. Speeches at 3pm. Stall runs 2pm-5pm.
Location: by the pagoda, Newport Place, London WC2

3) 7.30 pm to 10 pm: VIGIL: In the evening there will be a vigil toremember all the victims of the massacre, outside the Chinese Embassy.

These events are organised by the Tiananmen Massacre CommemorationCommittee UK and Chinese Uighur Tibetan Solidarity UK, a coalition of groupsand activists who wish to see an end to the oppression of all people livingunder the rule of the Chinese government.
