Liu Xia's current situation
According to the phone call from a friend of Liu Xia and late Liu Xiaobo on 30 April, Liu Xia said she is ready to die if she can’t leave China. A US diplomat told the media yesterday that Liu Xia’s movement and her right to leave China is still being restricted. She has been held house arrest under constant surveillance for more than seven years. She suffers from severe depression but has not been allowed to seek medical treatment abroad. Friends or journalists are prohibited from entering Liu Xia's apartment in Beijing. Viedo: https://www.facebook.com/cablechinadesk/videos/1707312536079892/UzpfSTE…
The diplomats from democratic countries in Beijing should immediately go and visit Liu Xia at her home address below. Democratic Governments should issue a statement or joint statement to call on the Chinese Government to release Liu Xia from house arrest and allow her to leave China as she has clearly expressed her intention to leave the country.
