Remember and resistance: Tiananmen 33 years on
In the evening of 4 June 2022, over a thousand activists gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in London to mark the 33rd anniversary of the 1989 pro-democracy movement and the Tiananmen massacre.
At the rally, we read out the partial list of deaths during the Tiananmen crackdown and statement from Tiananmen Mothers group. Three members of the Tiananmen Mothers, ZHANG Xianling (張先玲), YOU Weijie (尤維潔) and ZHOU Shuzhuang (周淑荘) (recorded audio) spoke at rally. We read out their English translation versions to show our solidarity with the Tiananmen Mothers.
The rally ended with songs including the Internationale.
