BOARD ELECTION PACK 2025
Dear Member,
Thank you for your interest in becoming a candidate for election onto the Amnesty International United Kingdom (AIUK) Section Board in 2025.
There are four seats available on the Board at the 2025 election:
- One seat reserved for a member aged 18-23 on 25 July 2025
- One seat reserved for a member who is nominated by a local group
- Two unreserved seats for any member.
To stand for election you must have been a member of AIUK Section since 7 September 2024. You must also be at least 16 years old on 25 July 2025 (except for the 18-23 year-old reserved seat).
If you wish to stand for election to the Board, fill in and return the forms listed in Section 2, below. All forms should be received in electronic or hard copy by 5pm on Friday 7 March 2025.

You can submit your all your forms electronically without the need to print any documents. We will also accept a valid email address in the place of signatures (wherever requested) in order to authenticate your nomination.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
Nomination Papers and Application Forms must be completed and received by the Returning Officer by 5pm on Friday 7 March 2025. If you are posting hardcopy documents, you must allow enough time for them to be received prior to this deadline. This is also the deadline for submission of documents by email. Please contact Tim Hancock by telephone on 07895 768230 to check receipt if you do not receive a reasonably prompt acknowledgement to any postal submissions.
One final tip: please do check that you and your proposers are fully paid-up members of the AIUK Section for, at least, the six-month period immediately preceding the deadline for nominating (7 March 2025). You can do this by contacting our Supporter Communications Team sct@amnesty.org.uk.
