Amnesty International is relentlessly focused on protecting civilian lives and ensuring international humanitarian law and human rights law are upheld. Our Crisis Evidence Lab analysts analyse photos, videos and satellite images to get to the truth of what’s really happening in this conflict and increase pressure for action, through calling for a sustainable ceasefire and for the UK government to suspend arms to Israel. These investigations could be used to bring legal action to ensure those responsible for human rights violations are held to account.

The catastrophe in Gaza is a human tragedy. Whole neighbourhoods have been reduced to debris. Over a thousand children have become amputees. And as one of our contacts in Gaza, language teacher and activist Aya Al-Ghazzawi describes, “countless people in Palestine are living amid a soundtrack of screams, fearing that they will never hear laughter again.”

Amnesty International has a unique position at times like these. Our research expertise means we can access those at risk and expose the threats to human rights they are facing. Our reputation and advocacy expertise mean when we publish our findings and push for change we are listened to.

With your gift today, we could expand our investigations in Gaza, Israel and the wider Occupied Palestinian Territories, to help ensure we can show the world the truth of what is happening as Israel’s ruthless bombardment continues. But we urgently need your help to fund our investigations to enable us to pursue and demand legal action.

Everyone at Amnesty International is determined to protect civilians from the threat of genocide and help ensure those responsible for human rights violations are held to account.
