Saturday 30 November Write 4 Rights
For this year's Write for Rights we'll again be at Lock 29 in Banbury's Castle Quay shopping centre on Sat 30 November, 10.30am-3.00pm.
Do please drop in - even if just for a few minutes - for this annual card- and petition-signing, message-writing activity in aid of nine identified cases of individuals suffering human rights abuses in different parts of the world. If you can volunteer an hour to help on the stall, to welcome people and help them take part, and/or can assist with set-up, that will be a great help - please get in touch.
We could also always do with more greetings cards for the stall - non-religious (usable in more cases) or religious - so please do bring or drop off some if you can.
You can familiarise yourself with this year's individual cases at https://www.amnesty.org.uk/files/2024-11/W4R%202024%20case%20booklet%20single%20pages.pdf And you'll be joining people from all over the globe in sending hundreds of thousands of messages of support and solidarity to the individuals concerned. Each year this campaign results in some of the individuals being released, being allowed improved access, or receiving better treatment. It also provides a real morale boost. It's an opportunity to make a real difference!
