
AmnesTea for International Women's Day 2019 (09/03/2019)

We are holding an Amnestea/coffee morning to mark the event and to support a courageous Egyptian lawyer, Azza Soliman, who has been punished by the Egyptian government for defending some of the most vulnerable women in Egypt against domestic abuse, rape, FGM, sexual harassment.
As a result of her work, Azza has been punished by the Egyptian government who have accused her of being a threat to national security. She has been banned from travelling, her assets have been frozen and she faces a possible jail term of up to 25 years.
Please come along to the Amnestea/coffee morning to enjoy tea, coffee, cakes and bakes, and also to sign cards in support of Azza
