For our first meeting of the year we met at The Fox Inn which is conveniently located next to the Town Hall in Chipping Norton.  We started with our Annual General Meeting and a reminder of our achievements during 2024: well-attended meetings with some interesting speakers; successful Amnesty stalls at 4 events in Chippy and Charlbury; together with the Town Council, raising the human rights and United Nations flags on 5 occasions, marking significant days for human rights; vigils marking the Tiananmen Square massacre and International Human Rights Day, and 4 weeks occupying our old red phone box to highlight the plight of refugees and Amnesty's Write for Rights campaign.

We look forward to an equally busy and productive 2025 and hope, through our outreach programme, more publicity, and more meetings with speakers on a range of subjects, to attract more members to our Chipping Norton Amnesty Group.
