Each year for Christmas we decorate our Amnestree which we planted in December 2012 to commemorate the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on 10 December 1948.  At this time we also remember members of our Amnesty Group who are no longer with us, and in particular lifelong activist Peter Burns who inspired us to plant this tree.

We hope the coming year will bring peace to war-torn places and greater adherence to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
