Yes, a card to a Prisoner of Conscience or a letter to the authorities responsible for their imprisonment really can make a positive difference.  And yours might be the one that a key person sees and takes note of.  Prisoners are released and conditions can be improved for those who remain behind bars.  What have you got to lose?
