Standing Together Against Hate at Ealing Blues Festival 2017
Amnesty Ealing Group are delighted to be running a stall at the Ealing Summer Festival on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July 2017, from 1pm to 5pm.
This year, we will be encouraging festival goers to Stand Together #againsthate.
Alarming reports of an increase of hate crimes across the UK have been in the spotlight since the EU referendum vote. The full picture is not yet clear – people experienced hate crime before the referendum and there may be many more hate crimes that go unreported. Whether or not there has been a distinct increase in hate crime as a result of the vote and regardless of how anyone voted: one act of hatred is one too many.
Visit our stall to Stand Together #againsthate. Take a photo in our photobooth and post it on social media using the hashtag: #againsthate
By doing so, you will be pledging:
- I’m proud to live in a diverse and tolerant society.
- Hate crimes have no place in our country.
- We have more in common than what divides us.
- We stand together against hate.

We will also be collecting signatures for our petition to Save the Human Rights Act.
Please visit our stall at the Ealing Blues Festival, Walpole Park, Ealing W5 on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July 2017, from 1pm to 5pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
