Supporting prisoners of conscience across the world

Dear Friend ,

Each year at Christmas Amnesty International asks everyone to think of those individuals and groups throughout the world who are persecuted by corrupt and autocratic governments. These people are often in gaol on trumped up charges facing an unfair trial and long prison sentences.

 How can you in East Devon support them ?

A good way is to come to the East Devon Amnesty Group’s Write for Rights event where you can send a card  with a message of support to an individual  in bad circumstances . Your message will mean a lot to them and you will part of a worldwide action organised by Amnesty International. The recipients will receive thousands of cards and will show them that they are not forgotten.

Write For Rights Event

When: Thursday December 2^nd at 2:30pm -  4:30pm

Where: Twyford House Coburg Rd Sidmouth

Mulled wine, soft Drinks and minced pies will be provided!

All are welcome ! ( you don’t have to be a member of Amnesty )
