Manchester Amnesty Weekly Action and News
Please do this action and make a difference
This week’s action comes from Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Parliament is scheduled to debate Israel/Palestine on the 16th December. Please email your MP asking them to attend the debate and to demand that Britain ends its complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza, illegal occupation, and apartheid.
Clicking the link below and completing a few details will generate an email to your MP for you. You can send the email as it is, or personalise it to make your own points. The email will include a link to Amnesty International’s new report, the latest of many to confirm the growing international consensus that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Please take the action as soon as possible as the parliamentary debate is on Monday 16th December. It is not too late to email your MP. It will take you less than a minute to act.
On 5th December, Amnesty International published a major new report
“You feel like you are subhuman: Israel’s Genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.”
The report can be accessed here and an executive summary here.
You can also watch a video here, but be warned, it contains disturbing material.

Belgium - On December 2, 2024, the Brussels Court of Appeal recognized Belgium's responsibility for the kidnapping and systematic racial segregation of children known as “Metìs” (those born to Congolese mothers and Belgian fathers) during the colonization of the Belgian Congo. The proceedings had been initiated by five Metìs women, born in the Belgian Congo between 1948 and 1952.
