Mid Devon Group 2018 meetings

Our Amnesty International Mid Devon Group continues to meet on the first Thursday of the month, at Halberton Methodist Church, at 7.30pm. We also have a stand at the Uffculme Farmers Market, selling books and raising awareness, on the fourth Saturday of each month, from 10 am to 12 noon in Uffculme Village Hall. We are also hoping to have a bookstall at Tiverton Market on two or three occasions this summer.

Other events in 2018

There's a performance of Feeding the Darkness on 16 March (see separate item). We are looking forward to meeting Ziya Kocabiyik in May, cycling from Lands End to John o' Groats to raise funds for Amnesty. Also in May, Hugh Sandeman, Amnesty Egypt Co-ordinator, is coming to talk to us on human rights in Egypt. In June, we are planning activities for Refugees Week 18-24 June, while our annual summer barbecue is in July, and our annual fundraising concert in November.
