Another successful quiz raises over £300
Our annual fund-raising quiz for Amnesty International, held on 20 March at the Minehead Social Club, was as enjoyable as ever and expertly organised for us by the Humber family. We all enjoyed the questions which covered a wide range of topics and knowledge. The eight rounds, themed around nursery rhymes, kept us guessing as to what was coming and introduced an element of chance as to where to place our jokers! The raffle was well supported with excellent prizes, some of which were donated by local businesses. We used the occasion to raise awareness of our group and what motivates us to work for Amnesty. Alison, our chair, said a few words about AI during the interval, there was an information stall, and leaflets about future events were placed on team tables. The evening raised the welcome amount of £307 for Amnesty.
