Minehead Group's June 2024 newsletter

Our June 2024 newsletter carries the sad news of the death on 13 May of our veteran campaigner and Amnesty supporter, Philippa Gerry. Philippa was one of the original members of our group and was an exemplary letter writer and advocate for peace and justice. For several weeks last autumn she led a weekly vigil for peace in Gaza, turning up in all weathers on her mobility scooter. We will all miss her very much.

Other items in the newsletter are the usual list of diary dates, campaign updates and news from our local Refugee Support Group. Our next Group event is an Amnestea on Thursday 18 July in Carhampton. All welcome to join any of our activities.
