How can we stop states obstructing attempts by the UN to end mass atrocities? - webinar for Amnesty activist-led UN Network
An activist-led Amnesty campaign originating from two resolutions put forward by the Oxford City Group at last year's AIUK AGM is concerned with the practical steps we can take to stop states obstructing attempts by the UN to end mass atrocities. This has been particularly pertinent – and a source of huge frustration – in relation to the current Israel–Gaza conflict. In addition, the campaign is part and parcel of an initiative to build an informal network of human rights activists and supporters interested in engaging more broadly with UN human rights mechanisms. The online launch event of this activist-led project, with an incredibly distinguished panel, is on 24 April. Details, including how to register are below; all are very welcome, whether Amnesty members or not.
Wednesday 24th April, 19:30 - 21:00 (online)
