Members of the Silsden AI group, and supportive friends, put on their walking boots again to raise funds for Amnesty. We walked 'The Roman Footseps Walk' from a book of local walks written by a founder-member of the group, Cathy Liddle. Part of the walk was along the old Roman road along the hillside above the Aire and the Wharfe valleys; not surprisingly, we had some spectacular views. We also passed sites of early Celtic settlements - a truly historic occasion ! Although the threat of rain was present, we finished the walk before the heavens opened - and we managed to raise an impressive £477. Thank you to everyone who supported us, either by walking or by sponsoring one of the walkers.
