Some good news!

Some good news at last! Members will remember the case of Sasha Skochilenko, the Russian human rights activist who was one of our Write for Rights cases in 2022. Her ingenious way of protesting against her country's invasion of Ukraine was to replace labels on supermarket items with labels containing information about the invasion, which had been censored by the government. She was serving a ten year sentence for this action.

We are delighted to say that she was released as part of a prisoner swap in August.
