Wednesday 26th September at 7.30 p.m. 'Remote Control - the Dangerous New Way of Fighting War', a public meeting with Paul Rogers hosted by Amnesty International, Malvern Hills Group and the Chase School Group. Drones (unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are the new face of warfare for the US and many of the world's biggest defence spenders. Analysis on drone attacks in Pakistan has shown that for every militant leader killed, 10 civilians also have died. How should we deal with this fast-growing threat?

Speaker Paul Rogers, Professor of Peace Studies at the University of Bradford, where he teaches courses on international and environmental security, arms control and political violence. He lectures at universities and defence colleges in several countries and  is an international broadcaster. As an author of 26 books and 150 papers, his work has been translated into many languages. His talk will be followed by questions and discussions.
