Sutton Coldfield MP Andrew Mitchell will form part of a panel to discuss and take questions on human rights around the globe.
Organised by Sutton Coldfield Amnesty International group, Mr Mitchell will share the podium with James Lovatt, who is a Board Member for Amnesty International UK.
The panel will discuss human rights and take questions from the audience during the 75-minute event on July 19.
Taking place at the Church Hall, Holy Trinity RC Church, 69 Lichfield Road, Sutton Coldfield, B74 2NU between 7.15-8.30pm, the event is open to all and free to attend.
Sutton Coldfield Amnesty International chairman Andrew Hindle said: “This is a great opportunity for people to come along and find out more about what our government is doing to campaign for human rights across the world.
“We would love to have a huge crowd with lots of interesting questions to ensure a lively debate.”
Amnesty International is a worldwide group which campaigns to free prisoners of conscience and to highlight human rights abuses.
The Sutton Coldfield group meets the second Tuesday of each month apart from August at the Conference Centre at Holy Trinity RC Church between 8-9.30pm. New members are always welcome.
