On a wet Tuesday evening, several members from our Sutton group joined the Beckenham, Penge & West Wickham Amnesty group for a campaigning event in West Penge. We decorated several cut-out keys, which will be sent with a letter to the new Foreign Secretary David Lammy, asking him to use his good office to unlock the door to prisoner of conscience Alaa Abdel Fattah’s freedom. It was also a great opportunity to socialise with one of our neighbouring local Amnesty groups, to share experiences and make useful links. A good time was had by all!
