Mayfair Amnesty Act of Witness - 12 December 2023

Three Sutton Amnesty members turning up for this event were perhaps surprised, but again maybe shouldn't have been, to see our own Chair leading a preliminary session encouraging London Amnesty Groups to work together. The meeting marked the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Rights by reciting the names and stories of two hundred people on whose behalf London Amnesty Groups have campaigned. Interspersed with poetry reading and singing, it was a telling reminder of the considerable role played by our local Amnesty groups.
