Our next meeting will be on Wed 17th Jan NOT Wed 10th Jan. This will take place at 19.00 at our usual venue of Sambells Cafe, Truro Methodist Church.

Hugh Sandeman, Amnesty International's country coordinator for Egypt, will be briefing us about the Human Rights situation in Egypt and the persecution of anyone presenting even peaceful opposition to the actions of the current regime. Then he will discuss the case of our adopted Human Rights Defender  Azza Soliman who is a lawyer focussing on women's human rights abuses (see the attached Write for Rights 2017: Azza Soliman Case Sheet for more details) .
