It was nice to see everyone at the Write for Rights zoom meeting. Thanks for dropping in your card bundles, they have all been posted.

Egypt: You will remember Mohamed Baker the Human Rights lawyer to whom we wrote Christmas cards. Following a deeply unfair trial an emergency court today sentenced Baker to 4 years in prison.

Cuba: Sue Bingham's last email as Country Coordinator asks us to write cards of support to HR defenders in Cuba. 

Please note that there is no meeting in January. For our February 7th meeting Jane is arranging for the Country Coordinator for Mexico to speak to us on Zoom and for our April meeting Leslie is arranging for the Afghanistan Country Coordinator to speak to us.
