Three days of amazing events in Hull this weekend for the Freedom Festival!

Hull Amnesty Group will have a stall on Sunday 3rd September, featuring

Perronet Thompson.  Perronet Thompson was a British Parliamentarian, Governor of

Sierra Leone and a radical reformer, born in Hull in 1783 and educated at Hull Grammar

School, MP for Hull 1835-1837, Governor of Sierra Leone 1808-1810.  

Perronet Thompson is the subject of one of the essays in Hull Amnesty Group's publication

"Not Just Wilberforce".
