This volunteer opportunity is perfect for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience in planning and coordinating non-profit events, such as conferences and webinars, while contributing to feminist activism. You will play a key role in organizing impactful events that promote women’s and human rights, collaborating with a diverse network of passionate intersectional feminist activists.
Who We're Looking For:
- Strong organisational and project management skills to effectively coordinate and deliver events, such as conferences, webinars, and campaigns.
- Passion for feminist issues, gender equality, and human rights, with an eagerness to contribute to impactful events.
- Creative thinking skills to develop engaging event concepts and outreach strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with teams, speakers, and stakeholders clearly and professionally.
- Enthusiasm for building connections with diverse communities and collaborators to foster inclusivity in events.
- Commitment to participate in bi-weekly online meetings and attend in-person meetings approximately every two months in London (travel costs reimbursed).
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, including our March 8th International Women’s Day event, as well as webinars, pop-up campaigns, and other initiatives in collaboration with the Campaigns, Communication, and Co-Chair teams.
- Collaborate effectively with the Campaigns and Communication teams to organise and deliver events.
- Work with the wider team to build and maintain relationships with potential speakers and collaborators for events.
- Coordinate logistics and provide on-the-day event support to ensure smooth execution.
- Handle general administrative tasks related to event planning and team operations.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the wider team during busier periods, assisting with various activities as agreed upon by all parties.
