You will be contributing to our mission of promoting women’s and human rights and working together with a diverse group of intersectional feminist activists.

This role provides an excellent chance to gain professional experience, build your CV, and network within the field of social justice. You will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas to the table in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment. Our group of activists works and learns together, fostering a supportive atmosphere for personal and professional growth.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, concise formats.
  • Passion for feminist issues, gender equality, and human rights.
  • Basic journalism skills, including experience with writing and editing.
  • Enthusiasm for engaging with a variety of sources, including news articles, policy documents, and qualitative data, to support our advocacy efforts.
  • Commitment to meet bi-weekly online and in-person approximately every 2 months in London (travel costs reimbursed).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on key issues related to women’s rights, gender equality, and feminist activism to inform our advocacy efforts.
  • Stay informed on current events, trends, and developments in feminist activism that could inform our work.
  • Contribute to knowledge management by maintaining a folder of research resources and materials for team use.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop evidence-based content for social media, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Conduct interviews with activists or experts to gather diverse perspectives for our projects.
  • Write engaging blog posts that highlight key issues and promote our activism.
  • Support the wider team on an ad-hoc basis. E.g Working with other team members to support their activities at busier times, as per agreed with all parties.

Note: If you have a specific research field or interest, we are open to incorporating your ideas into our work. This is a volunteer-led network that encourages members to bring their ideas and perspectives to the table. For more information on what this looks like in practice, please get in touch.

What We Offer You:

  • A supportive group of peers who are passionate about feminist activism and committed to working collaboratively.
  • Reimbursement of travel costs for in-person meetings in London.
  • Opportunities to travel to events, conferences, and protests across the UK, allowing you to engage with the wider activist community.
  • Access to memberships in networking groups such as The Trouble Club, enhancing your professional network.
