Our first Newsletter this year covers finances, events, actions and some of the latest human rights news.  Also attached is a letter to send to the Iranian authorities requesting the release of Atena Daemi who is in jail for peaceful protest against the death penalty.  Her health has deteriorated due to what she has suffered in jail so we are also asking for her to be allowed access to necessary medical support.

AIUK has stripped Aung San Suu Kui of their highest honour, AI Ambassador of Conscience Award as she no longer represents a symbol of hope, courage and undying defence of human rights.  A copy of this letter has also been attached.
