Amnesty International UK and Migrant Voice "Modern Slavery" briefing for House of Commons Committee on Government Bill 262

Amnesty International UK and Migrant Voice have jointly produced this briefing for House of Commons Committee on Government Bill 262 to address the impact of this Bill upon victims of human trafficking, slavery and other exploitation; upon the vile 'business' of modern slavery; and upon the UK's international obligations concerning modern slavery (such as the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings.

The briefing sets out the profound harm this bill will do to people who are trafficked or enslaved in the UK, how it will significantly shut down the UK's system for addressing modern slavery, and how that will enable human exploitation, and those who profit from this, to thrive.
