Amnesty International UK short briefing on asylum policy that has led directly to the Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill

The Bill is the latest response of the Government to the ongoing disaster of its asylum policy, pursued ever since 31 December 2020, to refuse to determine tens of thousands of people's claims to asylum in the UK.

It is vital to understand the policy and its dreadful impact in order to understand the origins, purpose and impact of this Bill; and that of its immediate predecessors.
