Why Nationality and Borders Bill will reduce safe routes to the UK
The following is analysis extracted from the joint submission of Migrant Voice and Amnesty International UK to the Public Bill Committee on this Bill. It considers one of the primary objectives Ministers claim to be pursuing by this Bill. That objective is to “establish and strengthen safe routes to asylum.”
As is discussed in this analysis, there is simply nothing in the Bill to achieve this and, on the other hand, much in the Bill to achieve its opposite.
