Youth group action, Rights of the Child, January 2015

The Convention on the Rights of the Child was created 25 years ago. It was the first international treaty to address the particular needs of children, and it remains the world’s most-widely accepted human rights treaty.

Nearly every member of the United Nations has ratified the treaty - making it legally binding in that country - with the outstanding exception of the USA.

This month's youth group action is all around asking the USA to ratify the treaty.
