Urgent Action update: Nabeel Rajab's trial postponed to 5th September

Bahraini prisoner of conscience Nabeel Rajab appeared before the High Criminal Court on 2 August. His trial was adjourned to 5 September, and his continued detention and referral for medical checks was ordered. His lawyers’ request for his release on bail has been rejected again.

Urgent Action update: Iranian youth's execution halted, still at risk

The execution of 20-year-old Iranian youth, Alireza Tajiki, has been postponed again following renewed public pressure. Despite this, Alireza Tajiki, who was 15 years old when arrested, remains at risk of execution as the authorities have yet to quash his death sentence and grant him a fair retrial.
