Rise Up applications are now open!
Does Rise Up sound right for you?
Rise Up is a fully funded campaign training programme led by Amnesty International UK for 16-24yr olds who want to create change on the issues that matter most to them.
We are committed to making Rise Up as accessible as possible. The only requirements are as follows;
- You are aged 16-24
- You are passionate about social change and human rights
- You have a particular area of interest you would like to drive positive change in
- You are committed to carrying out your Rise Up Action Plan when you have finished the course.
We hope that the application process for Rise Up does not put you off - don't worry about making it perfect, we just want to know who you are and what causes you are passionate about. We’re not looking for the “usual candidates” - you don’t need to have lots of experience or good grades to join this course, just a passion for winning human rights in your community!
We will prioritize applications from people of colour, non-binary people, LGBTQI folk, people living with disabilities, young parents, refugees and migrants, survivors and those not in education, employment or training. We are prioritising these people because they are underrepresented in our movement, and they are voices not represented in mainstream activism.
If you are unsure about applying, why not read one of our former participants’ blogs to find out more what it’s like to take part.
